INTRODUCING THE NEW ‘RAAMI’ TABLEWARE COLLECTION BY IITTALA × JASPER MORRISON
Jasper Morrison has designed a tableware line for Iittala: The ‘Raami’ collection is brimming with plates, cups, serving boards and light.
Now Morrison has designed a tableware line for Finnish company Iittala. The ‘Raami’ collection – named after the Finnish for ‘frame’ – is composed of 25 carefully selected pieces. Porcelain plates, cups and teapots in classic add a touch of elegance to the dining table with their modern shapes.
“I have a feeling that the days of the fully matched tableware sets are over,” says Jasper Morrison. And as one of the most important product designers of our times, he should know all about that. Morrison’s designs are part of collections in museums all over the world, including New York’s prestigious MoMA.

Coloured tumblers in ribbed glass create surprising contrasts. Gently curving wooden boards are the perfect way to serve cheese and add a natural element to the table. Morrison compares his tableware designs to a group of friends: each member brings their own characteristics to the table. Plus, you can share the table with them at any time of day – for breakfast, afternoon tea or dinner.
