Sales Assistant in the Gourmet Floor
What can I expect?
With over 30 gourmet stands and an oyster bar, the KaDeWe Gourmet Floor is the Mecca for food connoisseurs. Customers have a selection of around 34,000 different products, including 3,400 wines from around the world and 1,300 types of cheese. Another highlight is the fish and seafood section that includes both local fish and exotic varieties from further afield. International companies such as Paul Bocuse, Lenôtre and Leysieffer are represented in Europe’s largest Gourmet Floor at the KaDeWe.
In the retail trade, the customer is all-important. Therefore, our trainees take responsibility for certain product areas very early on in their training. Providing advice and being of service, giving product presentations and safekeeping the flow of goods means that there is always a variety in your duties. We also provide you with specialist training in food science and visual merchandising.
You work 5 days a week, which also includes Saturday. Your hours of work correspond with the store opening hours. And you go to college two days a week, where you will complete the theoretical part of your training.
